Up for sale is a one-of-a-kind synthetic bekko kanzashi embellished with rhinestones. Rhinestones were mass produced and used to accentuate jewelry starting in the early 1900s. This piece is one such lovely piece that has gone through many years of functioning as a beautiful ornament and has still managed to keep all its rhinestones intact. The body shows signs of wear and there are scratches throughout the body. The simple and circular design suggests it was made in Japan somewhere between the early 1960s to the late 1970s.
Approximate date: 1960-1980
